Christopher Turner earned a BSc in Pharmacology 1984, a Master’s in Biology in 1987, and a PhD in Neuroscience 1993. He spent the next 10 years as a postdoctoral fellow or assistant/associate research scientist prior to becoming an Assistant Professor in 2003. He has had numerous grants to support his research, published over 25 original articles and 2 book chapters. His work was recently featured in a TIME magazine article. He has mentored over 80 students, mostly as research assistants in his lab. He has given numerous presentations at major scientific meetings and, at the time of posting this website, continues to contribute to the field of Neuroscience. He is working on other projects that include a book to support his Manuscripts, Seminars & Posters course as well as a follow up to Convergence that further explores the erosion of ethical standards in the biomedical sciences.
